On Saturday, August 13th the International Live Events Association held their annual Esprit Awards ceremony and Brass Tacks Events was honored in two categories: Best Social Event, Budget $25,000 – $75,000 and Best Team Effort, Budget Under $75,000. Both awards were in recognition of our work on a Bat Mitzvah that we designed and produced which we dubbed “Law & Order: Special Event Victims Unit”as the all-encompassing theme was based on television crime dramas. In the Best Team Effort category, we shared the honor with several of our creative partners that made the event truly superlative with their contributions. Sincerest thanks to The Cupcake Bar, Giant Events, ILIOS Lighting Design, Marquee Rentals and SUM Booth and all their hard work. Following the ceremony, Lori Schneider of The Cupcake Bar said, “Kevin, thank you for leading us on that event, it was truly awesome! …and I won’t even hold it against you that you made me ugly cry during your speech.”
