We are thrilled to receive the news that Brass Tacks Events has been honored with two ASE Award nominations by The International Live Events Association of Austin. Our producer, Caitlyn Denham, was at the helm of this educational meeting for live event professionals and received nominations in the categories of “Best Planner” and “Best Designer”. The autumn-inspired decor featured a rich palette of orange, red and yellow. Centerpieces were comprised of colorful wild flowers, pumpkins and gourds. A special surprise for guests were the pumpkin-flavored cakes fashioned to look like real pumpkins and placed at every table.
SEARCH Foundation Gala Wins Two Texas Star Awards!
SEARCH Foundation Gala Wins Two Texas Star Awards!
We are so excited to share the news that we have been honored with two Texas Star Awards for our work on The SEARCH Foundation Gala that we produced in Austin in August. The award ceremony was held in Dallas, TX and our Quentin Tarantino themed event took home the hardware for “Best Event For A Non-Profit Organization” and “Best ILEA Team Effort”. We owe this great success to our wonderful team of creative partners and our absolutely fantastic client, The SEARCH Foundation and their Board of Directors.
Aaron Kaufman, CSEP, Chairman of The SEARCH Foundation said, “The event was nothing short of amazing! Kevin always puts 100% effort into his projects and this event was no exception. SEARCH is thankful for the efforts of everyone involved with the production. The funds raised during the event help carry out our mission of being able to financially assist event professionals in crisis whenever they might need.”
Lori Schneider, owner of The Cupcake Bar, shared in the honor of the “Best ILEA Team Effort” award by adding a bit of excitement to the party with her sweet treats and staff members dressed as Elle Driver from Kill Bill. “It was truly an honor to be a part of the team to work together to raise funds for a truly outstanding organization! The theme was unique and creative and all the vendors had such a great time pulling together for a truly one-of-a-kind event,” said Schneider.
“The thematic pull through at the SEARCH event was outstanding! Most inspiring of all was the collaboration among the team of sponsors and volunteers who worked so hard to make such a creative event come to life,” said party-goer Barb Harris, CSEP DMCP, Vice President of Event Services for CTC Destination Management. “Kudos to the entire planning team!”
Food is always critical at a fundraising event. You want bellies full of delicious, mouth-watering fare because well-fed guests are only too happy to open their wallets to donate for the cause. Catering With A Twist came through in spades for our revelers, delivering more than just great food, but a wonderful experience to go along with it. Kassie Purpura, the “Boss Lady”, worked with her Executive Chef, Lexy Hasley, and said “We had a blast being creative with the menu – The syringes for the ketchup on the Royale with Cheese…too much fun!!” Purpura continued, “Our team had so much fun dressing up and designing the displays. You couldn’t ask for a more creative event than one with a Tarantino theme.”
If you are unfamiliar with The SEARCH Foundation, please check out their website https://searchfoundation.org/ and heed the words of Kate Patay, CPCE, of Creative Coverings, “SEARCH is at the heart of our industry. It’s for event professionals and by event professionals. What better way to contribute to the industry you love?”
